Limitations

EduIDE has real advantages, but it also has real constraints. This section should be explicit about them.

Limitations instructors should expect

• it is not a full replacement for every local development workflow
• some native or highly specialized tooling may not fit well
• browser-based environments introduce platform and network dependencies
• the runtime model is managed, so unrestricted machine access is not the default
• the platform is still in active development, so there may be bugs and limitations

Teaching implications

• some assignments may need adaptation
• some student preferences for local tooling will not be satisfied
• operational incidents affect the course more directly than in a local-only setup
• course evaluation should include support and fallback planning, not just feature review
